- A Wild West BBQ Luncheon is scheduled for September 21 at noon in the Hale Senior Activity Center. Take this opportunity to whip out your favorite Western wear and enjoy some great BBQ food and line dancing with friends. This event is part of the monthly luncheons hosted by Dunedin Parks & Recreation. Space is limited, so be sure to register online or in person before September 16! (Dunedin Patch)
- Dunedin Parks & Recreation is now offering a new, unique experience at the Hale Senior Activity Center. Locals residents can now be present for live filming sessions of the Senior Voice America Podcast, which hosts professionals discussing health and educational topics concerning our community. Join them in person for a chance to ask questions, have some lunch, and participate in fun games and activities. Registration is currently available for four upcoming shows, including Cholesterol Education Month on September 23, Breast Cancer Awareness Month on October 21, American Diabetes Month on November 18, and Flu Vaccine – Winter is Coming on December 16. The podcast will also be posted live on Facebook and YouTube and can be watched at a later time. - With the countywide Tenants Bill of Rights set to take effect on Oct. 3, 2022, Pinellas County is launching an educational campaign to ensure landlords and tenants are well-informed about their responsibilities and rights under the new ordinance. A webinar for landlords and others who want more information about the ordinance is scheduled via Zoom on September 21 at 1:00 PM. - The Pinellas County School District is preparing to swap some of its diesel school buses for electric ones! One of the district’s bus yards is already equipped with 20 electric charging stations for the same number of new buses that should start arriving this December. They were purchased with grant money from the state’s share of a 2016 settlement between Volkswagen and the U.S. Department of Justice over emissions violations. Pinellas County will be one of the first counties in Florida to begin switching to electric school buses. (Bay News 9)

- The first 600 fans who attend the Dunedin Blue Jays game at TD Ballpark on September 10 will receive a free t-shirt celebrating members of the 2017 Dunedin Blue Jays championship team now playing in Toronto! - Keene Road will be closed for approximately six weeks from Sunset Point Road to Drew Street in Clearwater while CSX replaces a railroad crossing. The project is scheduled to begin on September 9 at 6:00 AM and conclude by early October. Through traffic will be detoured along Sunset Point Road, Hercules Avenue, and Drew Street. - The Dunedin Chamber of Commerce is looking for nominations for Business of the Year 2022! The Chamber will honor businesses in our community that have prospered in their field of endeavor. The judges will select finalists based on work ethics, integrity, community involvement, and the financial success of the company. Nominees must be a member of the Dunedin Chamber. One business will be chosen to receive an award and recognition at the Chamber’s Annual Meeting on September 29. The deadline for nominations is this September 9.
