In Wallingford, the ARPA Application Review Committee is scheduled to hold a special meeting on Friday.
Here’s our full list of six things to know as you start your week.
1. Senior center study panel in Meriden
The City Council is scheduled to hold a hybrid in-person and remote meeting at 6:30 p.m. Monday in the council chambers. According to a posted meeting agenda, the council is scheduled to act on Mayor Kevin Scarpati’s proposal to form a Senior Center Building Review Ad Hoc Committee to assess the current and future uses of the existing building, and to issue a report to the council of its findings, including a potential recommendation to build a new facility at a site different from the center’s current location. The council’s human services committee previously discussed the proposed and recommended its adoption by the council as a whole.
2. Enrollment report, air quality in Meriden
The Meriden Board of Education will meet in-person at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the board’s meeting room at 22 Liberty St.
According to a posted agenda, the meeting will include discussion of a class size and enrollment report. Also on the agenda are a finance committee report and discussion of the Aura Air Purification System, which is being piloted in three classrooms at Israel Putnam Elementary School. The system promises to improve indoor air quality in school buildings as well as provide real time monitoring.

AA Denorfia Building and Developers, local home builders, are looking to construct two and three-bedroom homes at 570 Meriden-Waterbury Turnpike. Company officials said the custom homes are designed for older residents who are looking to downsize and do less outdoor maintenance.
The Planning and Zoning Commission is holding a public hearing at its Tuesday meeting to hear residents’ opinions about the proposed development.
The meeting will take place at 7 p.m. at the John Weichsel Municipal Center, 200 N. Main St.
