Lead the development and embedment of the long term 25 year+ strategy for delivering wholesome water for the North West. Understand the impacts of climate change on the delivery of safe, clean drinking water and ensure that the business is prepared for the changes that will occur. Lead the development of a strategy for climate resilient catchments.
Be cognisant of future regulatory change and develop plans as to how we would address emerging issues in the long term, for example around: microplastics, lead, PFAS/PFOA and other emerging issues. Develop plans and strategies to ensure long term compliance with new standards and the protection of public health across the source to tap supply system. Influence directly, and through others, the industry’s approach to long term planning for water quality Lead the development of UU’s long term adaptive plan to 2050 for drinking water quality and submissions to the regulators. Work collaboratively with the Strategic Catchment Planning Manager to lead the development of the catchment systems thinking strategy for drinking water catchments To ensure that external partnership working opportunities are being maximised to ensure that each strategic catchment shows mature embedment of partnerships which are optimising value for customers. Identify external funding streams to deliver public value within the strategic catchments that is over and above our core service.
Work collaboratively with the Strategy Team leads to secure long term asset health for water system Ensure there is appropriate consultation with stakeholders and customers impacted by the plans Drive the programme to deliver the required outcomes to schedule and budget leading to a success for PR24 submission.
Responsible for ensuring integration of programmes of work, particularly where they span price controls Develop, maintain and report against a programme plan.
