- Dunedin Parks & Recreation is offering a free, informational seminar on hurricane preparedness on August 9 at 10 a.m in the Hale Senior Activity Center. Attend to learn what to expect during a hurricane, decisions about evacuations, information on public shelters, storm-related scams, and assistance after the storm from the staff at the Pinellas County Emergency Management and Consumer Protection. - Is your teen ready to take the Teen Driver Challenge? This free program teaches teen drivers the rules of the road and the consequences of distracted driving with a classroom-based education component and a practical driving segment. Participating teens will learn defensive driving techniques through exercises including evasive maneuvers, backing, and serpentines. Students are also taught basic vehicle maintenance and about sharing the road safely with large vehicles.
