Monday marks two long years since the governor announced the first case of COVID-19 in Oregon, and many public health experts are cautiously optimistic the worst of the pandemic has finally passed.

Dr. Kevin Winthrop, a physician and epidemiologist at Oregon Health & Science University, forecasts the future as downright bright.
