Pierre residents and business will see an increase in the cost of water starting with the January 2022 utility bill.
Utilities director Brad Palmer says it’ll be an 8% increase.

Pierre’s new drinking water treatment plant will come online next year. The town currently gets its water from an underground aquifer. The new plant will use surface water from the Missouri River.
