Cleaning service allegedly stole a box of watches from a home – Chicago Tribune

The following items were taken from Glenview Police Department reports, news releases and records. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE

Joseph Serr, 48, of the 100 block of south Fairlane Avenue in Elmhurst was charged with felony criminal damage to property Sept. 14. He was arrested after an investigation of an incident Dec. 26 in the 2900 block of Patriot Blvd. He was held for a bond hearing.

DUI

Emilia Hawkinson, 42, of the 5800 block of North Oriole Avenue in Chicago was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and improper lane usage Sept. 9. She was arrested after a traffic stop in the 9400 block of Waukegan Road. She was released on bond and is scheduled to appear in Cook County court Oct. 22 in Skokie.

Jinola Zandanga, 24, of the 9700 block of Sumac Road in Des Plaines was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and improper parking on a roadway Sept. 10. She was arrested after a traffic stop in the 3200 block of Central Road. She was released on bond and is scheduled to appear in Cook County court Oct. 21 in Skokie.

BATTERY

Christopher Ray, 27, of the 700 block of West Liberty Road in Wheaton was charged with battery, obstructing and assault Sept. 10. He was arrested after an incident in the 1700 block of Greenwood Road. He was released on bond and is scheduled to appear in Cook County court Oct. 22 in Skokie.

ASSAULT

Lezly Hernandez Beltran, 36, of the 0-100 block of North Branch Road in Northfield was charged with assault Sept. 14. She was arrested after an investigation of an incident in the 0-100 block of North Branch Road. She was released on bond and is scheduled to appear in Cook County court Oct. 11 in Skokie.

THEFT

Bessie Ortega, 34, of the 1200 block of North 30th Street in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, was charged with retail theft Sept. 11. She was arrested after the investigation of an incident July 17 in the 2200 block of Willow Road. She was held for a bond hearing and multiple arrest warrants from outside jurisdictions. She is scheduled to appear in Cook County court Oct. 4 in Skokie on the Glenview charge.

A Skokie resident reported an unknown individual or individuals stole medication from a bag while at a business in the 1400 block of Milwaukee Avenue Sept. 4.

A Chicago resident reported a cleaning service they hired to clean their prior home in the 1800 block of Tower Drive stole a box containing eight watches from the former home Aug. 31.

A representative of a retail business in the 600 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported a man entered the store, took merchandise and left without paying Sept. 6.

BURGLARY

A Gurnee resident reported an unknown individual or individuals stole the catalytic converter vehicle from their vehicle while it was parked in a lot in the 1400 block of West Lake Avenue Sept. 9.

FORGERY

A Glenview resident reported Sept. 6 personal checks were intercepted in the mail and cashed in a different name.

A representative of a retail business in the 3700 block of Willow Road reported three men entered the store and tried to purchase cards and other merchandise with fraudulent cash Sept. 6.
