SAN DIEGO – Veteran woodworking journalist Kenn Busch, a recognized authority on decorative surfaces and substrates, will present a free keynote speech at the 2022 Closets Expo, co-located with Wood Pro Expo California.
Busch, the founder of MaterialIntelligence.com and ClimatePositiveNOW.org, will deliver his presentation, “How to Sell Your Health-and-Wellness Advantages to Discerning Customers,” at noon Friday, April 29, at the Woodworking Network Live stage.
Busch’s presentation will focus on identifying the “healthy materials” closet and cabinet professionals can use in their projects. By doing so, he says they can gain a “competitive advantage that will only grow as homeowners and developers become more climate savvy.”
Busch authored an article on this topic for the November-December 2020 issue of Closets & Organized Storage. He will share the latest data on sustainability and indoor air quality, along with the best ways for closet and cabinet pros to tell these stories to their clients.
Among the highlights, Busch’s presentation will include:
- Indoor air quality: How not to fear the formaldehyde conversation;
- How to build projects with beautiful, durable materials that are 50% captured carbon;
- What are the latest material options for upscale design, regardless of budget; and
- Why the Climate Positive sustainability story is not going away.
Busch’s presentation will include a networking reception. His free keynote will be the third of three being offered during the twin-bill expo. The other presentations include:
- 9:00 a.m. Thursday, April 28 –Jim Bouchard, the founder of the Sensei Leadership movement, will focus on how leaders can attract, train, and maintain their employees by creating a positive culture within their organizations.
- 9:00 a.m. Friday, April 29 – FDMC columnist Brad Cairns, senior principal of The Center for Lean Learning/Quantum Lean, will discuss “Staying Lean in the Pandemic.”
