IKEA has just launched an air purifier that doubles up as a stylish side table to help remove dust particles, pollen and impurities at home.
With a contemporary design, the STARKVIND air purifier (£129) comes equipped with a two-filter system, five different fan speeds, and an optional carbon gas filter add-on, which absorbs various pollutants such as formaldehyde and other VOCs. Available as both a side table and as a stand alone purifier, shoppers can choose from on-trend light and dark wood.
Created to make clean air accessible to all, the pre-filter captures big particles such as hair and dust, while the filter for particle removal helps to remove approximately 99.5% of smaller airborne particles, such as dust and pollen. It’s not often you find an air purifier that’s stylish and practical, but this one has been designed to seamlessly slot into many areas of the home.
IKEA
“For IKEA, the smart home is not about gadgets but about making life at home better, through combining home furnishing design with digital solutions and technology. That’s why we’ve integrated the air purifying function with the latest technology, to provide the best possible experience for our customers,” Alistair Lowther, HFB Leader Core Area (Living) at IKEA UK & IE, says.
IKEA
“When designing STARKVIND, we wanted to incorporate modern design principles which can be adapted to changing lifestyles. Access to clean indoor air is important to maintain health, especially when living in areas of high air pollution. While we know that there is no single solution to solve indoor air pollution, we are working continuously on new products that enable people to lead healthier lives.”
The air purifiers are available to buy online and in IKEA stores now. Happy shopping!
