Pure Water Soquel has nothing to do with drinking poop water. The project has everything to do with making sure that we will all have sustainable water source water now and for future generations. The existing SCCWD board is implementing a complicated a solution, has secured over $90 million in grants, and has received praise and acclaim by water leaders worldwide. All in just seven years! The finished product will be water that is cleaner than treated ground or surface water. And, that cleaner water will continue to come out of your tap to sustain your kids, their kids and their kids’ kids. The project has been scrutinized and approved by people that know a heck of a lot about water than the two, new renegade candidates stirring up fear.

The Sentinel welcomes your letters to the editor. Letters should be short, no more than 150 words. We do not accept anonymous letters. Letter-writers should include their full name as well as a street address and telephone number. We don’t publish those details in the newspaper, but need the information for verification purposes. Occasionally, we reject letters simply because we’ve had so many on the same subject. Submit your letters online at www.santacruzsentinel.com/submit-letters.
