CLOVIS, Calif. (KMJ/FOX26) — The mask mandate for students, teachers, and school staff ends on Saturday, March 12.
Clovis Unified School District Superintendent Eimear O’Brien, Ed.D. sent out a statement to parents on Friday.
She reminded everyone that while masks are no longer required, they are still optional, and strongly recommended.https://player.vimeo.com/video/686543331?h=e7308ed30e

Moving forward, the following remain in place as we transition to a more traditional illness prevention model supporting healthy schools and classrooms:
- No cost N95 and KN95 masks are available upon request from school offices and remain an option for students and staff
- Long-term improvements in indoor air quality and cleaning procedures
- Recommended testing for anyone who has symptoms of illness
- Anyone who tests positive for COVID-19 or has symptoms of illness must remain off campus for 10 days or until a negative COVID test is obtained after the fifth day of illness onset or positive test (Learn more here).
- In the event of a positive COVID-19 diagnosis or COVID-19 symptoms, Clovis Unified schools offer no cost testing after Day 5 of symptom onset or positive test to students and staff seeking to return on Day 6 (Learn more here).
