Residents of Naalae Road in Kula are back under a boil water advisory after the county replaced standpipes containing E. coli bacteria and flushed waterlines.
Out of an abundance of caution, the Department of Water Supply recommended that Naalae Road residents boil water until waterline flushing has been completed and water samples confirm tap water meets public health standards.
The boil water advisory remains in effect for residents of Waipoli Road, Polipoli Road and Lower Kula Road between Naalae and Waipoli roads.
Potable water tankers are currently located at Fong Store, Ching Store, Ulupalakua Ranch Office, Kula Community Center, Rice Park and Copp Road at Kula Highway.
