Tata Motors has recently introduced the Kaziranga editions of its popular SUVs including the Harrier, Safari, Nexon and the Punch. The special editions come equipped with new features, which Tata is slowly adding to the regular variants.
The special Tata Harrier Kaziranga edition comes with set of new features. The features include new granite black front grille with piano black inserts, granite black body cladding, new jet black 17-inch alloys, dual-tone earthy beige leatherette seats & door trims, tropical wood finish dashboard, ventilated front seats, air purifier, new connected car tech, Apple CarPlay & Android Auto over WiFi.
One of these features, the Air Purifier is now added as standard in the Tata Harrier. This feature was earlier offered only with the Kaziranga edition. It is now available as standard, starting from the XT variant.
The Tata Harrier is available in manual and diesel versions. The manual version is priced between Rs 14.53 lakh and Rs 20.46 lakh, while the automatic Harrier is tagged at Rs 17.23 lakh for base model and Rs 21.81 lakh for the top-end variant.
The Tata Harrier is powered by a 2.0-litre Kryotec turbo-diesel engine, which is sourced from Fiat Chrysler Automobile (FCA). This engine is capable of producing 170bhp and 350Nm of torque. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic.
Tata Motors is also working on a petrol derivative of the Harrier, which has been spotted multiple times. It is likely to get a 1.5L or 1.6L turbo-charged petrol engine with power output close to 160bhp. Both manual and automatic versions will be on offer.
