A study has found that houseplants have the capacity to remove 87 per cent of air toxins in 24 hours, giving them the ability to purify the air and brighten up any work-from-home space.
The two-year NASA study found plants such as the peace lily and English ivy had “demonstrated the potential for improving indoor air quality by removing trace organic pollutants from the air”.
With this in mind, Clear It Waste Collection investigated which houseplant is most suitable for each zodiac sign.
They analysed the main characteristics of each zodiac sign to work out which greenery was the perfect match.
“With the rise of working from home, more and more people are using houseplants to brighten up their living and working spaces,” they said.
Along with refreshing the room, NASA has found that plants have the capacity to remove up to 87 per cent of air toxins from an area within 24 hours.
“Other benefits include reducing stress, increasing attentiveness, raising productivity and helping you recover from illness faster.”
