TALOQAN (Pajhwok): Turkish welfare organization RIDA has built a clean drinking water plant for thousands of families in Taloqan, the capital of northern Takhar province.
Earlier, these families Nawabad Shorab area used salty water for drinking. The facility has been built at the cost of $3400.
Abdul Bashir, an official of Rida foundation said that the people of Nawabad Shorab were using salty water, but now they have access to fresh and healthy water.
Abdul Baqi, a local resident has expressed his happiness to PAN and added: “the people of the area were using salty water and suffered from different health problems, but now they are happy because they had fresh and healthy water”.
