Work continues at the Musabey Drinking Water Treatment Plant, which will provide 11 million cubic meters of drinking water annually to Foça and Yenifoça. İzmir’s 9th drinking water treatment plant is being built at a cost of approximately 85 million liras.
İzmir Metropolitan Municipality İZSU General Directorate continues to work on the drinking water treatment plant with an annual capacity of 11 million cubic meters in order to meet the healthy and uninterrupted drinking water needs of Foça and Yenifoça. The giant facility, 65 percent of which has been completed, is planned to be put into operation in May.
The facility will serve approximately 150 thousand people.
Başak Ataman, a Chemical Engineer at İZSU Investment and Construction Department, stated that the facility, which was built on an area of 51 thousand square meters in the Gerenköy district Yapalak location, was designed to serve the entire Foça district, that is, approximately 150 thousand people.
Ataman; “Water to be taken from 19 wells in Foça will be treated in our treatment facility and given to Foça’s water network with the help of pumps. Our facility, which was built at a cost of approximately 85 million liras, including price differences, will be the first drinking water treatment facility established in the surrounding settlements of Izmir.
